Golte is a limestone plateau on the eastern edge of the KamnikโSavinja Alps, above Mozirje in Slovenia, best known for its ski resort. The plateau takes its name from the way its karst surface โswallowsโ water. The road up to the resort is a Tour of Slovenia summit finish that has more than once decided the race. Diego Ulissi won here in 2011 and took the race, and Rein Taaramรคe won in 2016, took the lead and kept it to the end. In 2025 Kyrylo Tsarenko won the queen stage from the breakaway, while Anders Halland Johannessen took the lead and the race.
The ride starts on the edge of the Savinja valley and climbs through ล mihel nad Mozirjem, a settlement of scattered farms on Golteโs slopes around the church of St Michael, built in 1631. The settlement holds a yearly Shepherdsโ Festival that keeps old customs alive. Higher up the ride turns west past the Mozirska koca mountain hut to the ski resort, where the Tour of Slovenia finishes.
