La Barillette (Jura Mountains)
La Barillette is measured at 1,528m above sea level in the heart of the Jura Vaudois Nature Park, it is one of the highest points of Canton Vaud’s Jura mountains in Switzerland. The peak is one of the favourite spots for cyclists and hikers to admire the unique panoramic views of Lake Geneva and the Alps. Perched at the top a new version of the emblematic antenna of “La Barillette” which has dominated Lake Geneva since the fifties. “La Barillette” mountain bike race is one of the most popular sporting events of the calendar (August). The race takes place from Chéserex and arrives at the summit.
