Coll d’Honor
Coll d’Honor is the more difficult south-western climb up to the Orient valley, it connects two delightful villages in Bunyola and Orient. The climb itself doesn’t present many great views, although it is a pleasant ride throught the woodland. From the top of the climb though, after a short descent, the scenery really opens up and is some of the most spectacular in Mallorca, as you reach a small plateau on either side of Orient. The gradient stays above 5% most of the time and reaches 10% on a few occasions. The last few hundred meters of Coll d’Honor are tough and can really catch you unprepared, just when you are thinking that the end of the climb must be near.
