Puerto de Canencia (South side)
Puerto de Canencia is a mountain pass located in the northern part of the Community of Madrid. Geologically, it is part of the southern slope of the Sierra de Guadarrama, one of the main mountain formations of the Central System. It is one of the lowest mountain passes of the Sierra de Guadarrama and, at the same time, less traveled, given its regional character. Despite this, it is usually a very frequented place on weekends and holidays, for its landscape and environmental values. Its surroundings are populated by pine forests.
