Felsberg

 Felsberg

The Felsberg mountain is located in the Bergstrasse-Odenwald Geo-Nature Park. At 514m above sea level, it is the highest mountain in the Vorderen Odenwald. The Ohly Tower, a little south-southeast of the mountain summit, a 27m high observation tower made of granite, is the landmark of the rock mountain. It is considered a particularly striking example of the romanticizing historicism of the 19th century, whose models were medieval castles and other defensive structures. The tower is registered as a cultural monument. It is named after the former Lord Mayor of Darmstadt, Christian Karl Albrecht Ohly.
