The Sugarloaf Road climb is a challenging and scenic ascent near Boulder, Colorado. It’s a favorite among local cyclists for its combination of steep gradients, rugged mountain views, and relatively quiet roads. While it’s not the longest climb, it packs a punch with steep grades, especially if you’re not used to sustained efforts at altitude. Cyclists sometimes encounter deer, elk, or even black bears (so stay alert).
