Faschinajoch (South) & Furkajoch (East)
The climb to the Furkajoch in the Voralberg region of Austria can be done as part of a nice loop over the Faschinajoch, Furkajoch and Dünserberg. This first part of that loop starts outside Satteins and has three distinctive parts. The first part is an easy rolling climb of about 12 km to Thüringerberg and Sankt Gerold. After a short descent, the brutal climb to the Faschinajoch starts. It climbs more than 700 meters in less than 9 kilometers. At the top, a very short descent through a tunnel leads to Damüls, where the final 8 kilometers to the quiet and beautiful Furkajoch start.
