Cyclists often start from Boulder, riding through Fourmile Canyon or Lefthand Canyon and making their way into James Canyon. The full ride, depending on the route, covers around 20-30 miles with a challenging elevation gain of 2,000-3,000 feet. You’ll pass through pine forests, rock formations, and open meadows, with occasional views down the canyon towards Boulder. In the fall, the changing leaves make it especially stunning.
