Iselsberg Pass is a mountain pass in the Austrian Alps, located in the state of Tyrol, near the border with Carinthia. The pass sits at an elevation of 1,209 meters (3,967 feet) and serves as a key connection between the Drava Valley in Carinthia and the East Tyrol region. It’s part of the scenic B107 road, which links the towns of Lienz in East Tyrol and Winklern in Carinthia. The pass lies within the Hohe Tauern National Park, one of the largest protected areas in the Alps, offering spectacular natural scenery, including views of the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain. While the gradients are moderate, the climb is steady and rewarding, offering great views over the Lienz Dolomites and the surrounding valleys. Cyclists often use the pass as part of larger tours in the region, sometimes combining it with the Grossglockner High Alpine Road for more challenging rides.
