Morbier
Located in the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Haut-Jura, the town of Morbier is known for its eponymous cheese, which it continues to produce - it was also famous in the late 17th century in watchmaking, thanks to the inventiveness of the Mayet brothers. In the nineteenth century, it was also considered the capital of the Comtoise clock with Morez. Today, Morbier is especially appreciated for its authentic and preserved landscapes, as well as for its ski area which allows the practice of winter sports. The town also has a modest architectural heritage that reflects its importance in the past.
